Botox Luton for excessive Sweating
Botox got its start as a cosmetic treatment. It smooths facial wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing muscles. Doctors also use Botox to treat neuromuscular conditions such as migraines, muscle spasms, and hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating.

Frequently asked questions:
- What is hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes patients to experience excessive sweating in various areas of the body, such as their face, palms, underarms, and feet. Depending on which area is affected, hyperhidrosis is categorised into facial hyperhidrosis (face), palmar hyperhidrosis (palms), axillary hyperhidrosis (underarms) and plantar hyperhidrosis (feet). In one form or another it impacts nearly 3% of the UK population. While the root cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown, it’s understood to happen when the sympathetic nervous system (which stimulates sweat production) goes into overdrive, causing certain sweat glands to produce more sweat than is required to keep the body cool. Some experts believe that hyperhidrosis is a genetic condition, while others link it to emotional stress.
Whatever form it takes, hyperhidrosis can lead to tremendous embarrassment in social and professional situations as well as impacting emotional wellbeing. For example, a person suffering with severe underarm sweating will often be worrying about side-effects such as stained clothes and body odour. Similarly, those with palmar hyperhidrosis will fear instances where they are expected to shake hands.
Botox Luton is administered to the affected area through a number of small injections. This causes sweat gland nerve endings to become blocked, suppressing the production of sweat from the sebaceous glands. This procedure is fast, safe and simple, and will typically reduce the amount of sweat produced in the affected area by around 90%.
Hyperhidrosis treatments are popular among clients that work in certain industries, such as air hostesses, hairdressers and bodybuilders.
- How long does a hyperhidrosis treatment with Botox Luton take to work?
It will take up to 4 weeks to feel the full effects of a hyperhidrosis treatment with Botox. At Birdsfoot Pharmacy we are pleased to offer a free 4-week top up to all of our hyperhidrosis patients.
- How long will a hyperhidrosis Botox Luton treatment remain effective?
Clients can expect the treatment to remain effective for 4 to 6 months. Most of our hyperhidrosis patients chose to have the treatment done at the beginning of spring to reduce sweating over the summer period.
- What are the side effects of a hyperhidrosis Luton Botox treatment and what aftercare is required?
There are very few side effects associated with hyperhidrosis treatment with Botox. The procedure itself is especially safe and straightforward. No pain relief is required during or after the treatment.
In terms of aftercare, all we recommend is that clients refrain from using antiperspirant for 48 hours following the procedure as the underarm area can become sensitive.
Our hyperhidrosis treatments are priced at £325

Are there side effects of Botox Luton ?
The needles used for Botox injections are very fine and approximately the same diameter as coarse human hair. The discomfort associated with this treatment is mild and no local anaesthetic is required.
You will be able to carry out all of your usual daily activities immediately after your injections, including driving. Patients with more delicate skin often have some redness at the injection sites immediately after treatment but this will subside over the next hour or so. You may also develop slight bruising at the injection sites, however, this is normally very mild and easily covered by light make-up. Otherwise there will be no visible signs of your skincare treatment.
In rare cases, the botox can migrate to nearby muscles, causing some weakness, such as drooping of the upper eyelid. This is a temporary side effect, lasting for a few weeks at most. If you suffer any side-effects we request you contact the Pharmacy immediately so we can offer you advice.
Lip Fillers Luton Information
CREATE NATURAL-LOOKING, FULLER & YOUTHFUL LOOKING LIPS BY YOUR EXPERT.
A great deal of expertise and artistry goes into creating beautifully balanced lips that look natural. In expert hands like Rupesh, lip fillers can create fuller and more defined lips to give you a more attractive smile.
Wider, fuller lips with defined vermillon borders are signs of youth and female attractiveness.
As we grow older our lips become thinner, flatter and less defined. This is because we produce less of the hyaluronic acid that is essential for volume.
Rupesh uses a leading lip filler brand Juvederm , made from hyaluronic acid, to give you the best possible aesthetic results. Hyaluronic acid filler is a temporary filler, and the filler is broken down over time by your own natural enzymes.
Lip fillers can smooth away upper lip lines, enhance the lip outline and boost volume.
Rupesh will assess your smile and facial proportions during a comprehensive lip assessment to determine the ideal way to enhance your lips. This can be done using a combination of lip fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, and other treatments.
